This painting has been commissioned and so is NOT for SALE
Beautifully situated on a private island in the River Thames at Bray near Windsor. In the 12th Century, monks settled nearby and called the island Monks Eyot, which is possibly the source of the modern name. However, it is also claimed that George III was banished here with his pet monkey. Today it is the site of a modern luxury hotel. It is accessed by a footbridge and surrounded by elegant gardens. This painting was commissioned and commorates a wedding that took place here.
