Slindon Country Painting near Arundel in the South Downs, West Sussex by Stanley Port. This is a view of a bridle path and hiker’s route lying just to the north of Slindon village, near Arundel. The path leads eventually to the Roman villa at Bignor and this is the view on a sunny afternoon in late autumn. The scene is typical of the South Downs National Park.
This large painting was commissioned from the artist in late 2017. It now hangs in a big country house in Slinden village.
