Rower passing Bisham Church Painting commissioned from Stanley Port
Acrylics on board: 45 x 60 cm
This painting was commissioned from Stanley Port by Alex during 2024. It shows The 12th century All Saints church at Bisham that was built on a beautiful stretch of the River Thames about a mile above Marlow. The oldest part is the tower, but the church has been enlarged over the centuries. The graveyard contains many beautifully carved tombstones dating from 1682.
Alex herself rows past this church frequently and can be seen dipping her oars into the river in this scene.
