This is a view of the Duke of Norfolk’s castle in Arundel. The River Arun bends through the town. Roger de Montgomery, cousin of William the Conqueror, started construction on Christmas Day in 1067 and for most of the time since, the castle has been owned and occupied by successive Dukes of Norfolk. Built on a hill in West Sussex, the castle has extensive views over the River Arun and the South Downs National Park.
